We cannot thank you enough for the wonderful stay we’ve had at your amazing retreat. Everything was absolutely amazing – fresh fluffy towels, comfy bed, and peaceful surroundings! And the BATH … OMG – there are no words! The in-house massages with Kylie and Jo were so relaxing, and we loved chilling outside on the sunloungers. We can’t wait to come back – my only regret is that we didn’t get to meet your dogs! Till next time.
WOW this place is amazing!! The website doesn’t do justice to how beautiful this retreat is! The music on entry was so welcoming! The food and wine was amazing. The views are amazing and the sound of the wildlife is oh so peaceful! The bath OMG Laura now wants one exactly the same at home! This place is so much more than 5 Star and we have fallen in love with this beautiful area! This will definitely become an annual treat for us! As Arnie would say “I’ll be back”.

Everything was amazing and is so very carefully thought out to perfection! From the moment was walked through the door we were astounded at how beautiful the place is, incredibly welcoming and everything we could have wanted. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend getaway for Denise’s birthday. The surprise gift was lovely and we walked into the retreat and felt relaxed in an instant. As previous guests have observed, the place is immaculate and you have thought of everything. Dinner was great, cooking our ready to go meal Friday night and lovely at Margans Saturday night. Waking up with the birds and fog was stunning. Thank you for the care you have taken to provide this wonderful retreat. We hope to be back but for longer so we can explore the area more.
It’s 1pm on Sunday and we are feasting on your delicious sticky date pudding, and trying to delay our departure. Thank you for sharing this loveliest of spots with us. The location, accommodation and service have exceeded all our expectations. And the meals were as delicious as they were generous! Unfortunately you have set new standards!! We won’t be happy with anything less. Somewhere Unique really is unique. We leave with very fond memories of our weekend.
I am a tough critic when it comes to accommodation and food. If I am paying the money to stay somewhere else or eat elsewhere – it should be better than home or what I can cook. Some would say I am pretty harsh when it comes to scrutinising accommodation or meals, but hey, its not often I treat myself and so when I do – I want it to be good – if not great.
I can easily say, without hesitation, Somewhere Unique is the best accommodation I have stayed in, in Australia – maybe even the world. Lowanna was so well appointed and so clean. I felt immediately comfortable and at ease.
Compared and contrasted to where I am now – self contained accommodation in Merewether and I am really disappointed. I am just not comfortable. Its not as clean and it just doesn’t have the thought put into it that Somewhere Unique clearly does – both in its layout and the small but significant touches you have made to it.
I have said to Andrew at least 5 times – “I wish we were back at Somewhere Unique” – and I truly mean that. Thank you for creating such a wonderful place where we can get away and truly relax and feel comfortable.
This was our first stay and my god it won’t be the last!! Everything from the second we arrived was absolutely perfect! What you provide and your presentation is amazing, and a huge credit to you both! The only downside was leaving. We will be back!

Thank you for making the last holiday before the baby comes along memorable and relaxing. All the small touches made us feel so special, from the note on the door to remembering to make sure there was hard cheeses on the cheese platter. No request was too hard. We had a great time here and we will be recommending Somewhere Unique to all our family and friends.
