This place could just have easily been named “Somewhere Magnificent”! Frances and I both love the tranquility, the scenery, the privacy and the luxury! You guys have done a great job and we hope you keep it going for some time to come. This is our first time in Allawah and upon entry both Jason and myself were impressed with the presentation of this short getaway with Somewhere Unique. We were very impressed with all the finishing touches you have provided with this getaway, the meals you prepared, the cheese plate and wine on arrival was something special. You have thought of everything to complete the best getaway for us. Thank you for everything and we will be letting all our family and friends know how wonderful this place is. We will certainly be returning.
Happy New Year! As always a fantastic and relaxing stay. We absolutely love it here, just as much as did in our very first stay years ago. Loved arriving after the long drive up with air-conditioning pumping in 38 degree heat, so refreshing and comfortable immediately. Hamper and wines were delish and the extra bottle of bubbly was perfect for NYE! Looking forward to our next stay, all the best for 2017!
As soon as we pulled up to the front of Allawah I was instantly delighted with our choice to stay here. The location is absolutely beautiful and so serene. The retreat is fantastic and you have taken so much effort to provide everything that we could possibly need! We have had a very relaxing time and very much enjoyed this time away. We will definitely recommend Somewhere Unique to everyone we know!
Thank you for another unforgettable stay! The Romance Package was exactly what we needed for a pre Xmas getaway to relax and unwind from city life. Highly recommend the White Splash and Light Shiraz from Wollombi Wines, just a short bike ride from here. Not even the thunderstorms could dampen our stay. We will definitely be back! Thanks again.

Wow, what an amazing haven you have created here at Somewhere Unique! The vista, the birdsong, the peace, the comfort, the bath – wonderful place to retreat to. We normally do “action jackson” holidays but this place made us stop, relax, chill – very rare thing to be able to do in this fast pace world we live in. We think that Wollombi is the most lovely village in the Hunter and that Somewhere Unique is its gem! We’ve stayed here several times in the past but not since Murray and David took over the ownership. We are most delighted to report that our stay has been as good as ever. Absolutely everything has been thought of – an absolute treasure. We’ll definitely be back.
