The
Drive to Wollombi
If you are travelling to Wollombi from Sydney, the most
direct route is via the F3 Freeway, taking the Calga/Peats
Ridge exit. If you would like to make a day out of the drive
to Somewhere Unique (or the drive home), there are many
points of interest along the way.

Observatory is a privately operated, public access,
astronomical observatory and space science display centre. We
operate most days and nights a week throughout the year. Yes,

The Convict Road
This is the name
for the convict built Great North Road, the surrounding land
and historic buildings. It was constructed between 1826 and
1836 to provide an overland route between Sydney and
Newcastle. It remains an extraordinary feat of engineering.
