Visit WollombiThere are a number of attractions in and around the Wollombi area, including regular art exhibitions, heritage buildings, exploring the surrounding national parks, wine tasting, or simply relaxing on your private deck with a glass of wine!

Whilst Hunter Valley Wine Country’s main attraction is the wine, it isn’t the only thing you will be able to discover. From beautiful art galleries, gardens, hot air ballooning, golf, horse riding, helicopter flights, shopping and tasting regional produce, there is something for everyone.

Little Red Riding Hood Plant Nursery & Gift Shop

A gorgeous shop in the heart of Wollombi, full of pretty things for lovely ladies, clothes & cool stuff for blokes and bubs. Housed in Wollombi Cottage, built in 1846. Bohemia also offers a range of beauty treatments on Wednesdays, remedial massage on Fridays, Reiki and Eneregy healing on Monday and Tuesdays, and special guests each weekend, such as tarot and hypnotherapy. Wollombi’s local museum contains an interesting collection from the rich colonial past of the Cessnock and Wollombi districts. Housed in the old Courthouse building.

The heritage buildings in the village of Wollombi

The new contemporary art gallery and sculpture garden along the Wollombi Wine Trail provides a perfect destination for a day trip. Located just 2kms from the Wollombi village on the road towards Cessnock.

Wollombi is home to a number of great regular events, including:

Wollombi Markets

Held on the Monday of the long weekends in January, Easter, June and October, from 8am to 1pm. Offering a range of stalls including antiques, household wares, bric-a-brac, food and local produce.

Laguna Markets

Held on the third Sunday of each month, from 9.30am till 1pm at the Old Northern Trading Post, Laguna. Local produce: veggies, free range eggs, fruit, herbs, plants, flowers, tubestock, olives, olive oil, preserves, lavender products, as well as: hand spun wool / beanies / scarves, jewellery, vintage linen, bric-a-brac, secondhand books, etc … Coffee and refreshments available.

Art Exhibitions at the Wollombi Cultural Centre

Home of the Wollombi Valley Arts Council, whose mission is to encourage and foster all kinds of artistic expression within the community. If you are looking for a unique piece of artwork, why not visit one of the many exhibitions held on weekends throughout the year.

Wollombi Valley Short Film Festival

Established in 1998, the Film Festival has encouraged locals and the rest of the world to show their video activities to a most enthusiastic audience.

Wollombi Valley Country Fair

Held on the first weekend in November, the Country Fair incorporates the annual Wollombi Valley Woodchop, Endeavour Museum open day, market stalls, a farmers market and much more.

Sculpture in the Vineyards

Held annually from October to January. An exhibition of dynamic outdoor sculptures by accomplished local and Australian artists, located in three award winning boutique wineries in the historic and picturesque Wollombi Valley.

Wollombi Music Festival

Held just outside the Wollombi village in September each year, the Festival combines bands, great markets, fantastic food, a VIP camping area and heaps of creative surprises. An incredible, eclectic lineup of Australian talent!
