Wine Tasting

Explore the Wollombi Wine Trail - a unique part of Hunter Valley Wine Country, the Wollombi Valley’s vineyards have been producing fine wines in this region since the 1850’s. The vineyards and wineries of the valley are small, boutique operations run by owner operators. The grapes are picked by hand. Wines are normally hand-made in small quantities. The results are trophy winning wines of exceptional quality. You will be made very welcome at the cellar doors of the Wollombi Valley vineyards with a friendly smile and a glass of fine wine.

Stonehurst Wines
Visit the sandstone cellar and sample the award winning wines. Produced entirely from hand-picked grapes, grown on high trellis to capture sunlight and air-flow, the wines exhibit rich fruit flavour and long depth of palate.
Located on Wollombi Road between Wollombi and Millfield - about 8 minutes drive from the Wollombi village.

Undercliff Winery
The Undercliff Estate was proclaimed in 1847 and is over 100 acres. They are well known for their vintage wines and sparkling shiraz. Enjoy a wander through the gallery, featuring artworks and limited edition prints.
Located 1.5kms from the Wollombi village, along Yango Creek Road.
Open daily from 10am to 5pm (longer in summer and weekends).

Wollombi Village Vineyard
Taste the chardonnay, shiraz and rose wines right in the centre of the village amongst the grapevines. Other products include speciality liquers, vinegars, local lavender products, soaps and hand-painted ceramics.
Located in the centre of the village, next to the tennis courts.

Wollombi Wines Vineyard
A boutique vineyard cellar door, bordered by the beautiful Wollombi Brook. The vineyard produces quality wines with typical Hunter flavours and characteristics.
Located just north of the Wollombi village, on Wollombi Road.

Millbrook Estate Winery
Enjoy wine tasting in the Victorian farmhouse winery. The hillside vineyard overlooks a picturesque, tranquil setting of wetlands with the Watagan mountain backdrop. Award winning wines are available at the cellar door.
Located 1.5kms from the village of Millfield. From Wollombi drive towards Cessnock on Wollombi Road, and turn left onto Mount View Road at the Vineyard’s sign.
