Located on a 20-acre bushland property in the Wollombi Valley, Somewhere Unique combines a tranquil setting with luxury, romantic couples-only accommodation, and superb attention to detail.
The eco-friendly architect-designed retreats are furnished in a contemporary style, and constructed from Colorbond steel and timber to complement the natural surroundings. Both Hunter Valley couples retreats have been placed to take best advantage of the bushland setting, and provide privacy for a truly luxurious and romantic getaway in award-winning accommodation.
Somewhere Unique is minutes from the historic Wollombi village in Hunter Valley Wine Country, 2 hours from Sydney and one hour from Newcastle and the Central Coast.
LOWANNA RETREAT
Both our retreats offer the same high quality fixtures, fittings and furnishings, and have the same layout. They are a one-bedroom retreat with bed separate to the living areas, not a studio room. The retreats are however decorated in different colour schemes, and have slightly different outlooks, Lowanna Retreat enjoys a northerly aspect, nestled below a spectacular rocky outcrop with valley views.
ALLAWAH RETREAT
Both our retreats offer the same high quality fixtures, fittings and furnishings, and have the same layout. They are a one-bedroom retreat with bed separate to the living areas, not a studio room. The retreats are however decorated in different colour schemes, and have slightly different outlooks, Allawah Retreat enjoys a northerly aspect, set in a tranquil bushland setting with valley views.
HUNTER VALLEY PACKAGES
Somewhere Unique offer a range of Hunter Valley Accommodation Packages, including the always popular ‘Romance Package’ and ‘Pamper Package’. Enjoy luxurious inclusions such as in-house massage, sparkling wine, cheese platters, candles and silk rose petals scattered throughout your couples retreat, chocolate fondue, BBQ dinner hampers, and a generous breakfast hamper filled with local produce.
