At ‘Somewhere Unique’, we are proud and very grateful to have been awarded a 2021 Travellers’ Choice Award by TripAdvisor. This award recognises that ‘Somewhere Unique’ is rated among the top 10% of hotels worldwide.
Having been awarded a Certificate of Excellence every year since 2012 by TripAdvisor, this is the second year consecutively that we have been awarded the Travellers’ Choice Award. In 2018 and 2019 we were thrilled to be awarded a place in the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame.
These, and our other cumulative accolades, make ‘Somewhere Unique’ the most awarded accommodation in the Wollombi Valley.
Although our focus is always on proving the best getaway experience possible for our guests, the 2021 Travellers’ Choice Award is important because, according to TripAdvisor, it is presented to accommodation vendors that ‘consistently deliver fantastic experiences to travellers around the globe. Winners are those organisations that have earned positive traveller reviews and ratings over the past year’.
Obviously the 2020/21 year has been especially difficult in the hospitality sector, and we are very appreciative that our guests have continued to support us not only by booking with us, but also providing only 5-star reviews!
Since February 2000, TripAdvisor has remained one of the largest organisations in the world to provide authentic traveller reviews. Tripadvisor.com, reached 463 million average monthly unique visitors in 2019. In December 2020, the website drew 90.2 million visits. The website features approximately 859 million reviews and opinions on approximately 8.6 million establishments—including 1.4 million hotels, inns, bed and breakfasts and specialty lodging, 842,000 rental properties, 5.2 million restaurants, and 1.2 million travel experiences worldwide.
The 2021 Travellers’ Choice Award is endorsement from our guests that we are addressing and, hopefully, exceeding their expectations which is evident from the 279 5-star reviews on the ‘Somewhere Unique’ page on the TripAdvisor website.
Of course, regardless of awards, we remain committed to exceeding the expectations of our guests and always providing the best specialist accommodation experience in the Wollombi valley and beyond and maintaining our position in the top 10% of hotels worldwide!
