There’s a lot to like about the Wollombi Valley, but Murray and I are always excited by the amount of local regular occasions, and the level of innovation in organising different showcase events.

A great example is ‘Paddock Sessions’. This annual event is a unique alt-country / folk / rock / blues / jazz / Americana music festival, which does not fit into a single genre or category. The aim of the organisers, Peter and Merryl, is to allow guests to experience amazing and varied music in a great location with friends, family, and a bonding sense of local community.

This year the event will be held on Saturday 25th May (2019) from 12:30pm to 10:00pm.

The ‘Paddock Sessions’ music festival began in 2016 and gained momentum and an enhanced reputation with the 2017 event. In 2018 the tradition continued to build and 2019 is the biggest planned event so far.

And one of the best advantages of the music festival is that it is held just down the road from ‘Somewhere Unique’. Our guests, with tickets, will enjoy our luxurious, romantic accommodation and then wander down the road to the best music festival in the Hunter Valley. The property, ‘Taer Angwidd Farm’ features a vast and beautiful open paddock with a big stage, and a variety of facilities including the provision of food, wine, beer and cider from stalls and fresh water from a tank and even a yoga session on the Sunday morning.

This year’s stellar line-up for the Paddock Sessions Music festival includes:

• James Morrison and his 10 piece Motown band
• This Way North – special guest appearance
• Imogen Clark & Band
• Tori Forsyth
• Mark Lang (Skipping Girl Vinegar)
• Lilly Among Clouds
• Lachlan Bryan and The Wildes
• Ben Leece with Left of the Dial
• Weeping Willows
• Piper Butcher
• Darcy Fox
• Elyssa Faith

Enjoy the Festival!

David & Murray
